With over 25 years of collective experience in the design field, Principals Todd Schulte and Will Tams bring extensive insight to their studio. They have generated award-winning work for a wide range of clients—from industry leaders to up-and-comers—with the same combination of passion and focus for every project.
Todd Schulte
Principal, Creative Director
Todd is an award-winning designer and creative director working with corporate identity, print, packaging, environments, user interfaces, and the web. Before cofounding The Invisible Spark, he led strategic design initiatives at Factor Design for clients such as Apple, Coca-Cola, GE, HP, Nike, and Palm. He has worked as an independent consultant for Apple, The Smithsonian Institution, Clif Bar, Specialized Bikes, and other clients. He was a communications designer at IDEO, where his clients included Pepsi-Cola, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Dreyer’s Ice Cream. He holds a BFA in graphic design from The Academy of Art University, with auxiliary studies in marine biology and landscape architecture.
Will Tams
Principal, Studio Director
Will’s considerable experience goes beyond developing and extending design concepts. He also has established the processes and lead the teams that have produced award-winning work in print, packaging, online, and physical environments. Prior to cofounding The Invisible Spark, Will developed and directed the production studio at Factor Design, where he extended and produced design concepts across numerous campaigns, events, and projects for clients such as Apple, Plantronics, Solaria, GE, and the San Francisco International Film Festival. Before that, he founded and directed Dragonfly Design, working with clients such as Apple, Stanford Law School, Environmental Defense Fund, Visa, American Red Cross, and HP. Will holds a BFA with honors from Brown University in conjunction with a dual program of study at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
